چکیده

In 1963, Zaretskiùõ established a one-to-one correspondence between the set BX of binary relations on a set X and the set of triples of the form (W,φ, V ) where W and V are certain lattices and φ : W −→ V is an isomorphism. We provide a multiplication for these triples making the Zaretskiùõ correspondence a semigroup isomorphism. In addition, we consider faithful representations of BX by pairs of partial transformations and also as the translational hull of its rectangular relations. Using these triples, we study idempotents, regular and completely regular elements and relations H-equivalent to some relations with familiar properties such as reßexivity, transitivity, etc.

A Relational View of Subgraph Isomorphism

This paper presents a novel approach to the problem of finding all subgraph isomorphisms of a (pattern) graph into another (target) graph. A relational formulation of the problem, combined with a representation of relations and graphs by Boolean functions, allows to handle the combinatorial explosion in the case of small pattern graphs and large target graphs by using Binary Decision Diagrams (...

Extensions of Structures and Full Embeddings of Categories

The objects of study of mathematics are often sets with some additional information. E. g. for a group the additional information is the binary operation, for a topological space the family of open sets, for a graph the set of its edges. Equivalences and mutual relations between objects are studied by means of a special class of mappings which is chosen according to the pourpose of the study. T...

Constructive Lattice Theory

A notion of simulation of one datatype by another is deened as a constructive preorder. A calculus of datatype simulation is then developed by formulating constructive versions of least-xed-point theorems in lattice theory. The calculus is applied to the construction of several isomorphisms between classes of datatypes. In particular constructive adaptations of theorems in lattice theory about ...
